Claus Trophobia – Contact: The Cosmic Echo of a Sinister Future
Claus Trophobia blends the escapist atmosphere of ’60s psychedelia with the raw, untamed force of noise rock. Since his solo debut No Love (2018), he has been pushing the edges of the genre. With the follow-up Space Rock Voodoo (2021), he fully arrived at his signature sound – gritty, thunderous rock wrapped in layers of psychedelic haze: sharp, intense, and atmospheric. Despite the pandemic, the album made it to the stage and was performed live.
On stage, Claus Trophobia appears either as a one-man band or with a full live lineup. A standout moment so far was his 2018 support show at Vienna’s Viper Room for California space rock legends Farflung.
In 2025, Claus Trophobia opens the next chapter with Contact – an album as heavy as it is melancholic and relentless. A sonic journey through dystopian soundscapes, caught between hope and bitter disillusionment – raw, honest, and intense.
The first single, Cosmic Reaper, already set the tone: dark, psychedelic, and yet somehow hopeful.
